A wild and woeful week.

Ta-Dah! I’m back, and if you didn’t even miss me – well, shame on you. 😉

What a week though.

Suffering from some kind of bizarre tech melt down, if a device could fail – it did, peaking with a disastrous climax.

Never mind the curious incident of the dog in the night-time, this was more the furious incident of the dog and the glass of water (and the MacBook!).  😮

A fraught few days of watching and waiting, resetting, and restoring, but finally it looks like I’m good to go again. Phew!

Into the second week of Thirty Days Wild and still going strong.

Day eight saw a hat-trick of wild moments: a riverside ramble, a woodland wander and a sunset stroll. Lucky me. 🙂

Day Nine; Another day, another riverside walk. This time with a friend and her two young dogs.

day 9

Looks serene, but it was utter carnage – albeit highly amusing carnage.

Day Ten; Another day, another dog walk.

With a tendency to charge through life at a full on pace, today was a day to remember to sometimes just pause.

To stop and smell the daisies.

Or to put it more accurately the dog stops to sniff who has peed on them.

It seems however he chose a great spot to stop and sniff and at long last I made my first spot of a wild orchid.

A timely reminder that every once in a while I really should just slow down.

To stop and really see what is going on around me.

That W H Davies really did know what he was talking about.Quote

  1. A bee orchid as well by the looks of it! I’m a bit obsessed with orchids at the moment, we’re quite fortunate to have them in several of the nature reserves around here.
