Surprised at today’s dose of wildness? ๐
The reason I love Geocaching so much is the fact it gets us out and about and exploring wild places.
If you think of a local wild space that’s particularly lovely, chances are somebody has placed a geocache nearby.
I find the Geocache and at the same time I discover a lovely new place, or walk.
Today I found this Cache;
That isn’t a real snail on the post box!
It’s a Geocache. A magnetic snail which was hidden under the post box.
A log book tucked inside which I sign to confirm I’ve found it.
Here are some of the lovely places I would never have found if it wasn’t for Geocaching:
Have I convinced you yet?

I “might” have been able to find the snail one, maybe. Beautiful spots.

B and I were out caching the other day and came across a snail. We thought it could be the cache – nope it was real! We have come across a cement snail with a bison tucked inside it too.

Oops! Sorry snail ๐
My children get really confused when they find a real snail – never sure if it’s real or a geocache! ๐

This post inspired me to find a geocache for 30 Days Wild. I’ve never done it before, but I found a nice loop of 3 caches and found them all, I had such a great time, I can see why you enjoy it so much! I’m definitely doing some more geocaching! Thank you for inspiring me!
